Barons is a local independent Estate Agency established in 1993 by Steven Heaps, who wanted to offer a more positive, professional and informed service to the local market. After a career working with both Independent & National estate agents his aim was to provide a more focused, bespoke service to clients which the larger estate agents and corporates could not provide.

Steve has worked in Estate Agency for over 30 years for both independents and corporate agencies alike; he was instrumental in new office start ups and a regional director at a large corporate agent. He is the founding partner of Barons and has extensive local knowledge of the local market and property related matters, particularly residential sales & lettings.

We have a large local catchment area and provide excellent levels of service from instruction through to completion.
We are members of The Property Ombudsman (TPO) and have agreed to follow the TPO code of practice for Residential Estate Agents. The Property Ombudsman provides a free, fair and independent service for dealing with unresolved disputes between sales and letting agents who have joined the TPO and consumers who are actual or potential buyers or sellers or landlords or tenants of residential property in the UK. The Ombudsman is totally independent of agents and reports directly to the TPO Council which has a majority of non-industry members.The Ombudsman's role is to reach a resolution of unresolved disputes in full and final settlement.
Barons are also members of my deposits which is a government authorised tenancy deposit protection scheme. This scheme adheres to all mandatory legislation related to the protection of deposits during a tenancy.
